Position Summary

Our client, a Jewish elementary and high school, is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Manager of Community Engagement to strengthen relationships within its vibrant school community and significantly enhance participation in annual giving. Working closely with the Manager of Fundraising, this role will focus on fostering meaningful connections with parents, alumni, grandparents, and other stakeholders while implementing strategies to increase community involvement and boost financial contributions. The successful candidate will lead community-building initiatives, design impactful events, and cultivate a strong culture of philanthropy to help achieve ambitious annual giving goals.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Relationship Building (60%)

- Develop and implement strategies to deepen relationships with parents, alumni, past parents, grandparents, and other key stakeholders, with a strong focus on increasing their participation in annual giving.
- Partner with the Manager of Fundraising to identify and engage prospective donors through community outreach and targeted engagement efforts.
- Build a culture of philanthropy by communicating the importance of supporting the school's mission through annual giving.

Collaboration with the Manager of Fundraising

- Collaborate with the Manager of Fundraising to develop and execute campaigns that inspire increased participation in the Annual Giving Program.
- Engage directly with donors and potential donors to solicit contributions, promote recurring giving, and upgrade gift levels.
- Assist in designing donor stewardship activities that recognize contributions and maintain strong, ongoing relationships.

Event Planning & Coordination

- Plan, organize, and execute events that combine community engagement with fundraising goals, such as donor appreciation events, alumni reunions, and family-centered activities.
- Ensure all events are designed to strengthen relationships and inspire contributions to the school.
- Assess the effectiveness of events and make recommendations for improvement.

Volunteer Engagement

- Recruit, organize, and motivate volunteers to support annual giving campaigns and community programs.
- Create recognition programs to celebrate volunteer contributions and encourage continued involvement.

Communications & Outreach

- Work with the Communications team to craft compelling messaging for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials that emphasize the importance of annual giving.
- Use storytelling and data-driven insights to demonstrate the impact of donor contributions on the school's mission.
- Serve as an ambassador actively engaging with stakeholders to strengthen ties to the school.

Data Management & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of donor and community interactions in the stakeholder database to support cultivation and stewardship efforts.
- Track and analyze engagement metrics and annual giving results, providing regular reports to leadership on progress and areas for growth.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, fundraising, or event planning, with a demonstrated ability to achieve financial targets.
- Knowledge of the Montreal Jewish community is a strong asset.

Skills & Abilities

- Proven ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholder groups to achieve fundraising goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including social media platforms, email marketing, and CRM software.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and foster a positive, results-oriented environment.

Notre client, une école primaire et secondaire juive, est à la recherche d'un gestionnaire de l'engagement communautaire enthousiaste et axé sur les résultats afin de renforcer les relations au sein de sa communauté scolaire dynamique et d'accroître considérablement la participation aux dons annuels. Travaillant en étroite collaboration avec le directeur de la collecte de fonds, le titulaire de ce poste s'efforcera d'établir des liens significatifs avec les parents, les anciens élèves, les grands-parents et d'autres parties prenantes, tout en mettant en œuvre des stratégies visant à accroître la participation de la communauté et à augmenter les contributions financières. Le candidat retenu mènera des initiatives de renforcement de la communauté, concevra des événements percutants et cultivera une forte culture de la philanthropie afin de contribuer à la réalisation d'objectifs ambitieux en matière de dons annuels.

Principales responsabilités

Engagement communautaire et développement des relations

- Elaborer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies visant à approfondir les relations avec les parents, les anciens élèves, les anciens parents, les grands-parents et d'autres parties prenantes clés, en mettant l'accent sur l'augmentation de leur participation aux dons annuels.
- Travailler en partenariat avec le responsable de la collecte de fonds pour identifier et engager des donateurs potentiels par le biais d'actions de sensibilisation de la communauté et d'efforts d'engagement ciblés.
- Créer une culture de la philanthropie en communiquant sur l'importance de soutenir la mission de l'école par le biais des dons annuels.
- Collaboration avec le responsable de la collecte de fonds
- Collaborer avec le responsable de la collecte de fonds pour élaborer et mettre en œuvre des campagnes qui suscitent une participation accrue au programme de dons annuels.
- S'engager directement avec les donateurs et les donateurs potentiels pour solliciter des contributions, promouvoir les dons récurrents et augmenter les niveaux de dons.
- Aider à concevoir des activités de suivi des donateurs qui reconnaissent les contributions et maintiennent des relations solides et continues.

Planification et coordination d'événements

- Planifier, organiser et exécuter des événements qui combinent l'engagement communautaire et les objectifs de collecte de fonds, tels que des événements d'appréciation des donateurs, des réunions d'anciens élèves et des activités centrées sur la famille.
- Veiller à ce que tous les événements soient conçus pour renforcer les relations et inspirer des contributions à l'école.
- Évaluer l'efficacité des événements et formuler des recommandations pour les améliorer.

Engagement des bénévoles

- Recruter, organiser et motiver les bénévoles pour soutenir les campagnes annuelles de dons et les programmes communautaires.
- Créer des programmes de reconnaissance pour célébrer les contributions des bénévoles et encourager la poursuite de leur engagement.

Communication et sensibilisation

- Travailler avec l'équipe des communications pour élaborer des messages convaincants pour les bulletins d'information, les médias sociaux et le matériel promotionnel qui soulignent l'importance des dons annuels.
- Utiliser la narration et les données pour démontrer l'impact des contributions des donateurs sur la mission de l'école.
- Servir d'ambassadeur en s'engageant activement auprès des parties prenantes pour renforcer les liens avec l'école.

Gestion des données et rapports

- Maintenir des enregistrements précis des interactions avec les donateurs et la communauté dans la base de données des parties prenantes afin de soutenir les efforts de culture et de gestion.
- Suivre et analyser les mesures d'engagement et les résultats des dons annuels, en fournissant des rapports réguliers à la direction sur les progrès et les domaines de croissance.

Qualifications

Formation et expérience

- Licence en communication, marketing, relations publiques ou dans un domaine connexe.
- De 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en engagement communautaire, en collecte de fonds ou en planification d'événements, avec une capacité démontrée d'atteindre des objectifs financiers.
- La connaissance de la communauté juive de Montréal est un atout important.

Compétences et aptitudes

- Capacité éprouvée à inspirer et à mobiliser divers groupes d'intervenants afin d'atteindre les objectifs de la collecte de fonds.
- Excellentes aptitudes aux relations interpersonnelles et à la communication, tant écrite que verbale, en anglais et en français.
- Solides compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion de projet, avec un souci du détail et des délais.
- Maîtrise des outils numériques, notamment des plateformes de médias sociaux, du marketing par courriel et des logiciels de gestion de la relation client.
- Capacité à travailler en collaboration avec d'autres équipes et à favoriser un environnement positif et axé sur les résultats.
