Early Careers: Intern, Products and Hedging Solutions - Summer 2026 Are you looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment? We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our Products and Hedging Solutions, Reinsurance team in Toronto   This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto offices. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed. What the day will look likeDevelop and test robust python processes for hedging, scenario generation and financial reporting.Play a key role in developing and testing innovative hedging and asset management strategies in PathWise to effectively manage complex exposures that combine Actuarial, Financial, and Capital Market risks.Test, maintain, and document sophisticated financial asset and liability models in PathWise to support various product development and risk management projects.Participate in quantitative research projects utilizing quantitative skills, such as time series regressions, optimization, Monte Carlo simulation, and data visualization techniques.Develop and maintain Economic Scenario Generators used in the valuation of financial assets and insurance liabilities. Skills and experience that will lead to successAdvanced programming skills in Python, in particular NumPy, Pandas and SciPyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of financial assets including derivatives and their valuation models a plusKnowledge of statistics, finance and economics a plusKnowledge of numerical technique skills in time series analysis and Monte-Carlo simulationStrong communication skills for heavy team interactionsEducation: Enrolled in and have completed 3 years of a Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics/Actuarial ScienceHow we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
