Job Overview

Position: Jr Occupational Health and Safety Representative

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Compensation: $50k-$60k annually, based on experience

What You’ll Do

- Support and promote Lordco's OHS program

- Visit stores to engage with staff at all levels through safety discussions and training

- Participate in site inspections, make recommendations, and take action to eliminate or reduce risk and increase safety awareness

- Assist with maintaining records of monthly safety meetings, inspections, and trainings

- Assist in creating safety training materials and safe work procedures

- Conduct risk assessments and investigations to

- Support compliance with all applicable WorkSafe BC and Alberta OHS legislation.

- Lead by example

- Other tasks as required

Do you fit the part?

- You are a highly motivated individual with a passion for safety excellence

- You are able to travel with overnight stays

- Class 7 or 5 license required

- You have a positive attitude to lead and influence others

- You have strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- You have strong verbal and written communication skills

- You can exercise sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality

- You can adapt to changing demands

- You can work as a team and independently
