Position: Jr Occupational Health and Safety Representative

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Compensation: $50k-$60k/annually, based on experience

What You'll Do:

  • Support and promote Lordco's OHS program
  • Visit stores to engage with staff at all levels through safety discussions and training
  • Participate in site inspections, make recommendations, and take action to eliminate or reduce risk and increase safety awareness
  • Assist with maintaining records of monthly safety meetings, inspections, and trainings
  • Assist in creating safety training materials and safe work procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations to
  • Support compliance with all applicable WorkSafe BC and Alberta OHS legislation.
  • Lead by example
  • Other tasks as required

Do you fit the part?

  • You are a highly motivated individual with a passion for safety excellence
  • You are able to travel with overnight stays
  • Class 7 or 5 license required
  • You have a positive attitude to lead and influence others
  • You have strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You can exercise sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality
  • You can adapt to changing demands
  • You can work as a team and independently
