Agropur is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join is Don Mills team. The Maintenance Planner will lead the planning, organization, and coordination of equipment maintenance, servicing, and repair activities across the plant. This role is instrumental in optimizing our preventive maintenance program, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. He will collaborate closely with the maintenance supervisor, buyer, electromechanics team, and supervisors from other departments to ensure seamless execution of maintenance operations.

Salary range 004: 71 200$ to 89 000$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What’s involved in this role:
More specifically, the Don Mills Maintenance Planner’s responsibilities will include:
Plan and organize maintenance work in order to carry out tasks efficiently and in compliance with the quality and health & safety system;
Plan the resources required for the success of the plant's scheduled interventions;
Build and maintain the planning, scheduling, kitting, 5S and other processes.
Analyze and follow the history of interventions performed by the team on equipment and validate the causes of deviations according to good reliability practices.
Review existing preventive maintenance and develop new ones.
Maintain and update job plans based on feedback and changes in equipment or processes.
Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans for all equipment, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
Establish and maintain a clear asset hierarchy and catalog ensuring all equipment and components are accurately categorized and documented.
Identify and integrate appropriate PdM technologies, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, into the maintenance strategy.
Train maintenance personnel on the use of PdM tools and techniques, ensuring they are proficient in data collection and analysis.
Participate, where appropriate, in failure analysis and improvement of operations.
Implement the operational excellence program (AOS) in maintenance and ensure the implementation of the continuous improvement approach to maintenance.
Manage maintenance priorities based on operational needs and changes in the maintenance budget;
Oversee or undertake PO issuance, inventory management, orders, invoice, and supplier follow-up
Ensure the supply of parts required for preventive maintenance and related corrective actions.
Coordinate the start of work, including the various work permits.
Create detailed job plans for maintenance activities, including step-by-step instructions, required tools, materials, and safety precautions.
Complete performance indicators and maintenance documentation.
Update and improve equipment parts lists, search for replacement parts, and determine the quantities of parts to be kept in inventory.
What you need to join our team:
Diploma in maintenance, electromechanics, mechanical engineering or other relevant training.
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS, SAP PM) is required.
Ability to analyze data and trends to optimize maintenance schedules and improve equipment reliability.
