We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the corporate finance team.

This role will report to the Senior Director, Financial Reporting and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

- Preparation of monthly consolidation entries, financial reports, supporting schedules and analysis

- Providing assistance to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting on developing and implementing accounting policies

- Research on complex accounting issues under IFRS – including IFRS 3, IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 as well as upcoming IFRS standards.

- Compilation and preparation of quarterly/annual financial reporting/statements (including extensive notes) in compliance with TSX reporting deadlines

- Liaison with external auditors

- Review of financial reports submitted by international and domestic subsidiaries

- Preparation of subconsolidations in a multicurrency reporting environment

- Assistance with the preparation of quarterly tax provision working papers

- Leveraging ERP (NetSuite) to support the organization’s finance and reporting needs

- Implementation of controls under ICFR framework

- Work with corporate accounting team to deliver timely and accurate information

- Utilize Workiva for preparation of financial reports, including financial statements and MD&A

- Other Ad-hoc projects

Qualifications and Experience

- CPA or equivalent designation, public accounting experience is preferred

- 4+ years practical experience of the audit of/preparation of financial statements prepared under IFRS

- Public company reporting experience would be an asset, whether in industry or with assurance clients

- Well- developed attention to detail and analytical skills

- Proven track record of providing high quality results under firm deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Advanced excel proficiency (experience using Lookups and Pivot Tables is mandatory)
