PRODUCTION OPERATOR (ROLL FORM)

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Production Operator (Roll Form) for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Under the guidance of the Roll Form Foreman, the Production Operator conducts the daily operations of the Roll Form Department.

Additional responsibilities of the Production Operator include:

- Perform visual quality checks regarding product defects and cleanliness.
- Count and package finished products accurately and in a secure fashion to avoid damage during transportation.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties daily to ensure a clean and safe working environment as per the department housekeeping program.
- Cooperate and work in a team environment while maintaining consistent attendance.
- Exercise personal safety, as well as promote and enforce safety among crew members.
- Develop and maintain good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments at the plant.
- Assist in the implementation of USG/CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
- Carry out special projects and assignments as directed by Management.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.
- Proficient mechanical understanding.
- Experience setting up and effectively operating a highly automated roll forming and metal punching line.
- Able to follow oral and written technical instructions and have good mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing business conditions to support the needs of department.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.

Additional info:

Hours - Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Pay - $28.10/hr CAD

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
