You’ll collaborate with business areas, vendor partners, and your team to develop and deliver BCAA’s mobility and micro-mobility solutions, including enhancements, proofs of concept, and designs.As an SFSD, you'll lead by example, design, implement, test, and debug software programs, and work closely with solution and data architects to troubleshoot and resolve issues. If you’re enthusiastic about making an impact in a start-up-like environment, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of mobility.**Who you are:*** You’re a consensus builder and a problem-solver who drives innovation to meet business objectives.* You understand that business strategy drives technology innovation.* You love learning about the evolution of the automotive & car sharing industries in BC, and continuously seek out areas to implement improvements.* You see the big picture and have a keen eye for the details.* You are an effective team player that demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing work priorities and a wide range of organizational needs.* Your exceptional communication skills allow you to translate technical language for non-technical audiences and translate business language for non-business audiences.* You like to learn new forms of software architecture, and enjoy doing regular architecture work.**What you’ll do:*** Conducts stakeholder interviews and gathers user requirements.* Communicates business objectives effectively, fostering stakeholder engagement and consensus building.* Aligns business strategy with IS standards, technology opportunities, and investigating strategic IT solutions.* Analyzes existing systems for effectiveness and efficiency, developing improvement strategies.* Translates diverse business needs into recommended solutions and alternative options.* Develops comprehensive business requirements for system development.* Acts as a subject matter expert for IT personnel, providing system rule clarification.* Generates reports with process findings and recommended improvements.* Reviews maintenance items for duplication, correction feasibility, resource impact, and timing.* Mentors new team members by reviewing their requirements and providing guidance.* Prioritizes system work requests from assigned business areas based on value and alignment with corporate objectives.* Manages requirement status throughout the software development lifecycle to meet timing deadlines and divisional needs.* Prepares documentation and monitors daily progress of assigned tasks for regular meetings.* Collaborates with external vendors to ensure BCAA's system needs are met, and changes are delivered on time.**What you bring:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.* 7+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or a related field.* **Proficient in:*** Front End: React/Redux, HTML5, CSS3, SASS.* Middle Tier: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS), NodeJS, ReactJS, Python, RESTful APIs, SaaS integrations.* Database: PostgreSQL.* DevOps & Tools: BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Jira.* Architecture: Microservices and event-driven architecture.* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 software (Excel).* Expertise in data modeling using relational databases and advanced SQL skills.* Familiarity with UML and various system development lifecycles (e.g., waterfall model, RUP, Agile) is essential.* Proficient in formal software testing approaches and methodologies, with demonstrated experience in providing direction and coaching to others.* **Bonus Skills*** MBA or masters level degree.* PMP or AWS certification(s).* IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) certification.**Internal Applicants:** Please note that the internal posting closes on **November 26, 2025** and the role is a **Grade 14** position.The salary range for this position is $100,306.20 to $125,382.84 and is determined viajob-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.*Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days).
