SAP Functional Consultant

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP EPPM Functional Consultant to support the implementation and configuration of SAP EPPM (PPM & PS) solutions within a medium to large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering SAP projects and strong ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand business processes, requirements, and objectives.
- Translate business requirements into SAP system configurations and functional specifications.
- Ensure system configurations and customizations are aligned with organizational needs and best practices.
- Document configuration settings and provide guidance for future system enhancements or consultant interventions.
- Train end users and deliver documentation to support effective utilization of SAP solutions.
- Conduct system testing, performance validation, and troubleshoot support tickets related to SAP functionality.
- Provide day-to-day configuration support, maintenance, research, and development within the SAP landscape.
- Participate in planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP configuration changes.
- Enhance system components based on business requests and evolving requirements.
- Prepare documentation including configuration guides, business requirements, functional and technical specifications, process flows, and solution blueprints.
- Provide leadership in designing and developing new SAP solutions and improvements.
- Collaborate with SAP Developers to design and build custom SAP applications tailored to business needs.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience implementing SAP EPPM solutions (including PPM and PS) in medium or large organizations.
Desired Skills
- SAP functional and/or academy training or certification.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong technical aptitude paired with relevant business experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on SAP experience, including implementation, upgrades, support, and maintenance.
- Experience working with the following applications and technical tools:
- SAP ERP
- SAP Solution Manager
- SAP Business Suite and NetWeaver components (e.g., IS-U, CRM, Portal, PO)
- SAP HANA
- SAP configuration tools such as IMG
- BarCode applications
- SAP partner products such as Microfocus ALM, Cideon Product Suite, and OpenText
Education:
Post-secondary degree in Computer Technology (BSc, MSc preferred).
