Position Title SAP Functional Consultant Mode Contract Position Overview Client is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with strong proficiency in SAP EPPM (PPM and PS) to support the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP systems across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into effective SAP configurations, ensure end‑user adoption, provide ongoing support, and contribute to SAP solution development in a complex enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business users to understand processes, gather requirements, and define SAP functional needs. Translate business and functional requirements into SAP EPPM (PPM/PS) configurations and system solutions. Ensure SAP customizations, enhancements, and configurations align with organizational standards and business objectives. Prepare detailed documentation including configuration guides, functional specifications, technical specifications, business process documents, and solution blueprints. Provide day‑to‑day SAP functional support including issue resolution, system maintenance, configuration updates, and application troubleshooting. Participate in all stages of the SAP lifecycle including planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, upgrade, and post‑production support. Conduct SAP system testing, performance validation, and quality assurance for enhancements and new features. Lead and support SAP end‑user training and ensure proper usage of SAP business processes and tools. Collaborate with SAP Developers to build custom SAP applications and enhance existing functionalities based on business needs. Support enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP landscape. Provide leadership and guidance in the development of new SAP EPPM‑related solutions and capabilities. Mandatory Education & Certifications SAP EPPM certification (PPM and/or PS components required). Mandatory Experience Proven experience implementing SAP EPPM (PPM and PS) solutions in medium or large enterprise environments. 3–5 years of relevant SAP experience across implementation, support, upgrades, and maintenance. Strong understanding of SAP ERP, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Business Suite, and NetWeaver components. Experience with SAP configuration tools such as IMG. Preferred Qualifications Post‑secondary education in computer science, information systems, or related field (BSc, MSc). SAP functional training and/or academy certifications. Experience working within government, utilities, or public‑sector organizations (2–3 years preferred). Exposure to SAP HANA and related technologies. Experience with tools such as MicroFocus ALM, Cideon Product Suite, OpenText, SAP IS‑U, CRM, Portal, PO, Barcode applications. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into SAP system solutions. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on quality and accuracy. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally. Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently with strong time‑management skills. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
