Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, Development Engineering, the Engineering Development Coordinator is responsible for providing engineering services within the Engineering Services Department on minor development/engineering projects. Responsibilities include reviewing performance security reduction applications, preparing recommendations, investigating and resolving enquiries and complaints, monitoring development progress, conducting research, reviewing designs, and providing comments on development designs.

Job Requirements:

1. Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related discipline, eligible for membership with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
2. Demonstrated experience in residential subdivision development, engineering, inspection, and contract administration.
3. Good organizational, interpersonal, collaborative, problem-solving, record-keeping, and analytical skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, and GIS.
5. Knowledge of current engineering standards, specifications, and regulations including the Environmental Assessment Act, the Highway Traffic Act, and others.
6. Experience in design and contract administration of municipal projects and development review, site inspections.
7. Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion in dealing with confidential information.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
9. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with developers, homeowners, contractors, and the public.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
11. Knowledge of financial matters related to all types of development, including performance security management.
12. Class "G" Driver's License in good standing and reliable vehicle for corporate business.
13. Available to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required.
