We have a rare opportunity for a Development Engineer to join Developer Services within our fantastic Strategy and Planning team You will be involved in some truly unique projects, and where no two days are the same

The focus of this role is to help ensure that extensions and relocations to the water and wastewater networks are designed and constructed in accordance with our design standards and material specifications.

This includes the following:

1. Approving and monitoring construction and accepting extensions to the water and wastewater networks constructed by third parties.
2. Ensuring that the asset information is accurately recorded.
3. Managing projects and facilitating their progress.
4. Responding proactively to new business opportunities.
5. Reviewing new connections to the public water and wastewater network.
6. Building close working relationships with key developers.
7. Promoting a positive H&S environment across our business.

Salary band for this role is $90,000 to $110,000.

Newmarket, Auckland location.

Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

You are a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a team, both in the office and onsite. Your experience includes:

1. Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary level qualification.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Previous experience in the water/wastewater industry; asset management planning and delivering infrastructure projects.
4. Stakeholder relationship skills, both internally and externally.
5. Strong attention to detail (it really is important in this role).
6. A focus on continuous improvement of systems and processes.
7. Commercial acumen.
