Team & Job Overview

The EDC Corporate Services team is currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-centric leader to fill the role of Manager, Corporate Services Operations.

This individual will lead this new team of currently 8 professionals responsible for delivering a wide range of essential services to both EDC and FinDev Canada. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day facilities requests, mailroom management, office supplies management, furniture inventory, hospitality and event support, regional office administrative support, the corporate travel program, and other related employee needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the new Corporate Services Operations team, ensuring high levels of service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the corporate services, including facilities management, travel, events, hospitality, mailroom, and regional office administrative support in major community hubs.
- Set a clear vision and goals for the team. Develop and implement strategies to measure and enhance service quality and operational performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, policies and directives, including those related to facilities management, travel, hospitality, and events.
- Monitor and analyze service performance data and industry best practices to identify trends and execute improvements. Ensure the team meets and evolves with the needs of the organization.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and high service levels. Strive to optimize costs and achieve savings.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting cross-training and professional development.

Screening Criteria

- Degree in Business Administration, Facilities or Administrative Services Management, or related disciplines.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in corporate/client services or facilities management, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French).
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of the Government of Canada's relevant directives, notably on travel, hospitality, conference, and events.

Asset

- Master's degree in a relevant field, and/or relevant professional certifications.
- Experience or knowledge of the public sector practices.
- Manager, Corporate Services 19: Salaries typically range from $109,810 to $146,413 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role may be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
