**Summary**:
Reporting to the Services Manager, the Piping Services Supervisor is responsible for project and trade supervision, estimating, building client relations, reporting, and upholding high safety standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of piping systems, coordination and optimization of workforce, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and evaluate proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, specifications, and material and labour requirements.
- Assist with estimating, identifying the most competitive rates based on cost analysis/comparison.
- At the estimating stage, solicit supplier quotations for material, equipment, and sub-trade quotations, whether internal to TESC departments or from an external supplier.
- Prepare final estimate summaries, ensuring they address scope, pricing and are comprehensive and in accordance with TESC’s standards and procedures.
- Provide job specific tool and material lists to shop and procurement.
- Provide piping-related technical guidance and support to the organization.
- Coordinate piping-related personnel and activities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Create and manage day-to-day schedules for multi-trade site workers.
- Assign tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Ensure prompt and accurate submission and approval of daily time entries.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all invoicing.
- Track and analyze data related to project costs, productivity, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project costs and expenses, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on project status, progress, and any potential delays or issues. Provide corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating regularly to provide updates, address any concerns, and manage any project changes or modifications.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement with safety performance and quality by going beyond satisfying the minimum legislated requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement.

**Job Specifications**:

- College Diploma or Trade Certification in mechanical piping or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in piping maintenance and construction services, preferably in the mining, industrial, and/or power sectors.
- Minimum 3 years experience of supervision in a multi-trade environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Solid understanding of estimating principles and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- High regard for safety, with a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Must possess a valid Class - G Ontario Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel and work weekends to accommodate project schedules and client needs.

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- construction: 5 years (preferred)
