**Position summary**
The Smart Hospital Project aims to revolutionize healthcare in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and beyond. We are harnessing the power of innovative wireless technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning tools to improve vital sign and respiratory monitoring by developing and testing wireless technologies, as well as innovating and streamlining the retrieval, processing and visualization of data collected at the bedside. The Research Coordinator will join the Smart Hospital Team and report to the Principal Investigator under the supervision of the Project Director.

**General Duties**
We are seeking a dedicated Research Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join the Smart Hospital Project team. The Research Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies under the Smart Hospital Project and be responsible for:

- Coordination of research activities in accordance,
- Ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards, for ex ICH/GCP, Health Canada,
- Assist trainees/students working on Smart Hospital Project research studies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the research projects, including patient recruitment, scheduling, data collection, creating and maintaining study binders,
- Ensure that the research projects are in compliance with institutional SOPs, including submission to research ethics board, Health Canada, and compliance with ICH/GCP,
- Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols specific to neonatal populations and wireless vital sign monitoring, ensuring adherence to ethical, regulatory and institutional guidelines, policies, and standards of care,
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, biomedical engineers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the Smart Hospital Project research studies are well implemented,
- Maintain organized records, data collection, patient information and consent forms, logs and other documents in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory guidelines,
- Ensure the accurate collection, storage and analysis of wireless vital sign monitoring protocols, ensuring alignment with clinical standards, patient safety requirements, Health Canada regulations, and institutional policies,
- Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication,
- Provide information and support to parents/guardians of research participants, ensuring informed consent is obtained and study procedures are understood,
- Stay updated on development of neonatal research and research related to wireless vital sign monitoring by attending conferences, workshops, hospital rounds and training sessions as required.
