Manager Global Economic Sanctions Client Screening
**What is the opportunity?**
**What will you do?**
- Have an understanding of relevant provisions in the sanctions regulations (Canada, US, UK and the EU) to appropriately assess sanctions risk from a global perspective as it relates to list management, Canadian regulatory reporting and also to have an understanding of any additional jurisdictional-based list management and regulatory reporting obligations with respect to frozen assets;
- Responsible to collaborate with RBC’s global AML Compliance teams and businesses to provide support and address sanctions related inquiries in a timely manner, with a global view where required, for list management, name screening alert adjudication and Canadian regulatory reporting;
- Responsible to adjudicate name screening alerts referred to the Global Economic Sanctions team, in a timely and accurate manner;
- Responsible for filing monthly regulatory reports with Canadian regulators in an accurate and timely manner, as well as for maintaining documentation related to frozen assets oversight activities;
- Responsible for analyzing new sanctions lists and for updates to the RBC enterprise sanctions lists standards and jurisdictional based local sanctions list standards; including engagement with relevant IT contacts and execution of all documentation update requirements;
- Responsible to review and investigate escalations received by RBC’s global Business Units related to list management and sanctions screening hits and to provide direction and support, where required;
- Maintain relevant procedural documentation
**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have**
- 1-2 years proven Financial Industry Compliance Experience, ideally including sanctions experience.
- Excels in a high paced, high pressured environment
- Strong capability to work with Microsoft suite of products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with data analysis and investigations
- Undergraduate Degree
**Nice-to-have**
