Reporting to the **Senior Implementation Manager, Client Services** the **Implementation Technician, Client Services / Point-of-Sale (IT)** is responsible for QA testing, deployment, support, and training of BP approved POS technologies for all divisions of Boston Pizza International, including Franchisees, Business Management Units and Corporate Services. This position involves helpdesk support, project initiative research and development, and project deployments. This position also involves 24/7 helpdesk support as well as onsite technical support, deployment, and training.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for investigation and research & development into new technologies and initiatives
- Responsible for project organization, implementation, deployment, and documentation
- Responsible for remote / onsite support and troubleshooting of BP approved POS technologies
- Provides Franchisee and Operational support and training for New Store Openings, Store Renovations and System Upgrades
- Responsible for verification of system stability for staged and newly deployed POS technologies through remote support and onsite inspection
- Programming of menus and store promotions
- Document reported problems into ticketing system and follow-up with stores to ensure timely resolution of problems and managed services
- Coordinating and following up on technical support issues with suppliers and vendors
- Firewall & Anti-Virus administration & monitoring for corporate locations
- Travel to restaurants as required, ensuring the service continuity of installed POS systems
- Responsible for Hardware and Software evaluation and testing
- Provide afterhours 24/7 store support for required evenings and weekends on a scheduled basis
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (eg. Win 7, Win 10, WinXP, POSready, CE, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suites 2013 +
- Experience with hardware and software research and development
- Experience with project deployments and implementation
- Experience with TCP/IP protocols and experience configuring / troubleshooting - firewall/routers, VPNs, switches, and WiFi access points
- Experience with antivirus software - Sophos Antivirus Suite knowledge preferred
- Demonstrates strong problem solving skills using a strategic, methodical approach
- Experience with Quality Assurance Testing is an asset
- Experience with POS software is an asset - POSitouch preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate with technical & non-technical users / clients & employees
- Enthusiastic in dealing with new challenges and exercises professionalism
- Proactive with excellent organizational skills, time management and multitasking abilities
- Team player but able to perform well independently
- Good working knowledge and experience in Restaurant Operations is an asset
- MCSE/MCSA is an asset
- 2 Year Technical Diploma or Degree
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel and provide on-site technical support
