Collins is seeking an experienced onsite Radio Field Service Technician. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day priorities in solving clients VHF/UHF Radio, Telephone, Networking & PC related issues based out of our Richmond, BC office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinates, prioritizes and resolves issues encountered by customers. Analyze system failures, identify and restore equipment malfunctions and failures. Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment. Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications. Manages technical products, services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers. Troubleshoots technical problems and recommends actions to company or customer representatives. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Install & maintain digital wireless communication equipment in the VHF, UHF, 800 MHz bands operating on trunking or conventional modes Install & Maintain dispatch console systems. Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements. Contacts customer, collects feedback, and establishes and maintains good relationship with customers. Will communicate and interact, both verbally and written, with English speaking customers Travel 30% Will be working to various locations where valid Canadian citizenship, valid driver’s license and vehicle are required. Monday to Friday workdays with rotational on call Applicants will be subject to a government security screening

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) or network/electronics technical degree, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Experience working in the RF field Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use RF testing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Be self-motivated and able to work effectively both in a team environment and under minimal supervision in the field. Completion of a practical course in the RF Radio & Electronics Completion of a practical course in Networking
