BBE is seeking **Procurement Specialist** to join the Procurement team As an integral member of this team, you will ensure that BBE’s strategic growth targets and market position are achieved across our lines of business. To be successful in this role, you must embrace continuous learning to develop and strengthen relationships with vendors to meet stakeholder requirements that align with super customer service and provide value by offering unique solutions to the challenges of good services to remote and norther locations in Canada and worldwide. You are a change agent for improvement by collaborating across departments ensuring revenue, pricing, rating, and administrative activities align with BBE’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
**Responsibilities**
- Sourcing commodities related to various business areas
- Gather & evaluate Vendor RFQs, proposals, purchase terms and conditions
- Evaluate and submit proposals to external customers, and complete the scope of work from operation’s standpoint
- Generate & analyse key Vendor and Customer Reports
- Assistance in developing and maintaining item and vendor master in ERP
- Find and qualify suppliers of goods and services in existing and new categories, and establish pricing, commercial terms and set up for import into BBE’s sales catalogue.
- Ensure relationships with suppliers of goods and services are managed to stay aligned with BBE’s commitments to customers and other stakeholders.
- Measure vendor related KPI’s and further negotiate with existing suppliers for better pricing, term and conditions, and continuous improvement of performance.
- Respond promptly to external customer inquiries
- Communicate with external customers regarding product alternatives, shipment delays, and order updates
- Ensure that the value of Procurement function is quantifiable on a continuous basis.
- Contribute to developments across BBE’s value chain to enhance our service offering.
- Commit to BBE's QHSE standards and integrate BBE's values into everyday practices.
**Qualifications**
- University or Technical school degree in commerce, supply chain or other relevant discipline.
- 1-2 years' experience sourcing & buying
- Previous negotiations experience is an asset.
- Professional approach to vendor and customer relationship management. Ability to establish strong customer centered commercial relationships with vendors.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational, time management skills, written and verbal communication.
- You have experience in identifying and investigating data inconsistencies and providing feedback for improvement.
- Previous experience with ERP system an asset.
- Continually seek and accept professional and self-improvement opportunities.
**Wage**
- Starting at $23.00/hour
