Job Overview:
**The DCYC**, is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the love of boating, seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Supervisor (Caretaker) to maintain the security and functionality of our docks and clubhouse.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Docks**:

- Ensure the safety and security of the docks through regular patrols.
- Secure all untied boats to the best of their ability and inform the dockmaster at earliest convenience
- Monitor dock access using video surveillance equipment. Specifically
- During storms to secure any untied boats where safe to do so. Contact RCD/Emergency call out list in the event of emergency
- Manage transient moorage requests from members and reciprocal clubs, following established guidelines.
- Interact with members and the public in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any concerns.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or potential hazards on the docks to Rear Commodore Docks.
- **Clubhouse**:

- Uphold the security of the clubhouse and parking and ensure its use by authorized members only.
- Conduct regular inspections of the clubhouse facilities, such as structure electrical and heating, identifying and repairing where possible. Reporting any maintenance needs. Handle the interface to approved sub contractors and sign off on work done.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the clubhouse interior and exterior.
- Oversee the upkeep of the small garden and plants on the property.
- Prepare the clubhouse for member functions as needed, setting up furniture, parking, ensuring supplies are stocked, and ensuring overall functionality.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Occasional store pickups
- Interface with the House manager on all house issues
- **Work Hours**:

- Work hours 40 hrs per week
- The applicant must be able to work flexible hours
- The functions and house at club run from Thursday to Monday
- **Reports**:

- Compile a monthly report on activities, issues, resolutions and job sign offs

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum one year of experience in a security or facilities maintenance role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Able to do some heavy lifting when required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of boating and dock operations is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and car required.
- Probationary period 6 months

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
