Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve (Part-time)

**Only Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents can be considered at this time.**

**COMMISSIONED OFFICER / Trade Undecided**:
This group consists of Canadian Forces personnel who are non-commissioned officers (NCOs) or members of other non-commissioned ranks.

**The people in this group**:

- Provide collective defence measures to protect Canadian waters, land, airspace and other interests.

All ranks of non-commissioned officers and members in the air force, army, and navy are included in this unit group.

Duties

**Personnel in non-commissioned ranks of the Canadian Forces**:

- Operate armoured vehicles, artillery, hand-held weapons and other military combat equipment and defence systems
- Engage in non-combat operations for humanitarian efforts
- Take part in peacekeeping operations and enforce cease-fire agreements
- Provide aid in emergency situations, such as civil disorder, natural disasters and major accidents
- Take part in drills and other training in preparation for peacekeeping, combat and natural disaster relief duties
- Do office management and guard duties

Special duties

Personnel are assigned to specific operations related to reconnaissance, peacekeeping, disaster relief and combat.

As applicants progress throughout the process they will receive more and more information which will enable them to pick the trade(s) they are most interested in. Trade(s) of initial interest can be changed throughout the process as more information becomes available.
- Be 18 years of age (or 16 with parental consent)
- Have minimum Grade 10 education*
- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

**Officer applicants are required to either possess or be in process of obtaining a University degree.**

As an Officer Cadet (without Bachelor's Degree) the pay rate is $130.22 for a full-day.

As a Second Lieutenant (With Bachelor's Degree) the pay rate is $146.14 for a full-day.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $130.22 per day

Expected hours: No less than 3 per week
