ARMOURED SOLDIER:

Soldiers in the CAF have the opportunity to see and shape the world, while serving your country on a part-time basis, as a member of the Canadian Army Primary Reserve with The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own).

Members of the Army Reserve serve part-time in the Canadian Armed Forces. Their main role is to support the Regular Force at home and abroad. Army Reservists typically serve one or more evenings a week and/or during weekends at locations close to home. Army Reservists may volunteer to deploy on international and domestic operations.

**Armoured soldiers operate and maintain Armoured Fighting Vehicles, their weapon systems and communication equipment. They are part of the Combat Arms group of trades. The other three include;s Infantry, Artillery, and Combat Engineers.**

ESSENTIAL MILITARY SKILLS
- Perform as a section member during offensive and defensive operations.
- Operate and engage targets with machine guns and fragmentation grenades.
- Operate portable communications equipment.
- Driving and maintaining vehicles.
- Loading, firing and maintaining the vehicle’s machine guns.
- Maintaining and operating the vehicle’s radio and communications equipment.
- Gathering and relaying information about enemy and terrain (reconnaissance).

The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own) is currently recruiting for:

- Armoured Soldier
- Armoured Officer
- Human Resources Administrator
- Financial Services Administrator
- Be 18 years of age (or 16 with parental consent)
- Have minimum Grade 10 education*
- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

*Officer applicants are required to either possess or be in process of obtaining a University degree.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $124.40 per day
