**About this opportunity**

As a Clinical Educator - Auto with CBI Health’s Community Rehabilitation Services team, you will be accountable for executing on the role-specific training and onboarding plan for clinical team members who are either new to the organization or new to a service delivery area (Complex Auto).

**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**
- Ensure discipline-specific regional onboarding, mentorship and training support service delivery needs
- Ensure onboarding, mentorship and training are aligned with the National Training and Development and Community Rehabilitation Services strategy
- Ensure peer-to-peer learning content and delivery is aligned to clinical best practice at CBI Health and the aforementioned strategy
- Contribute to the creation, cataloguing and curation of training and development content
- Develop and foster a community of practice
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support Clinical Team Leads (CTLs) as mentors/coaches for discipline-specific clinical competency
- Support CTLs with identified team members under performance management review with individual clinical training and development needs
- Drive best practice in mentorship
- Provide specific one-to one or small group training for new hires, and for those entering a new area of service delivery
- Provide knowledge transfer, shadowing, and reverse shadowing on all components of service delivery from the intake process to discharge and follow up with the goal being the new hire tracks to performance milestones
- Provide timely feedback to the mentee on clinical skills and behaviours according to best practice and professional college guidelines where applicable
- Review and provide timely feedback on documentation and written communication
- Support the trainee’s CTL in executing the training plan and in identifying ongoing training needs
- Support the trainee with transition to a CTL once training is complete, identifying and communicating to the CTL areas which require particular attention aligned to Training and Development strategy
- Provide mentorship throughout the onboarding/probational period
- Coordinate workshops, lunch and learns, and other learning opportunities
- Coordinate with local OTs offering client sessions, possibly supervising assessment/treatment, offering shadowing opportunities
- Report QA
- Coordinate/facilitate monthly Grand Rounds
- Collaborate with Discipline Lead, TA team, and Admin team to ensure onboarding is seamless in all areas of training (Trauma, Auto, Admin/Process, IT)
- Monitor/support virtual support pathways (MS Teams chats)

**What you need to be successful**
- Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- At least 2 years of private clinic/rehab experience
- A results-oriented, adaptable and well-organized approach with the ability to function independently
- Sound written and verbal communication and multi-tasking skills
- A willingness to further your skills through additional training
- Comfort with providing care to clients in their home and /or in the community
- Excellent leadership skills to be able to coordinate a treatment team, always keeping in mind client, family, and funder expectations
- Excellent communication skills required to be able to facilitate meetings, treatment plans and advocate for the client’s needs
- A demonstrated understanding of service delivery model(s) relevant to their area of training
- An ability to meet performance expectations within their own clinical practice
- An understanding of performance indicators within service delivery as related to the success of the client and CBI Health
