**Your role**:
In close collaboration with the Art Director, the Visual Effects Artist - Unreal Engine's mission is to create aesthetically striking visual effects that clearly communicate the desired action, impact and emotion:

- Collaborates with the Art Director and conceptual artists to define the visual style, atmosphere and feel of the special effects;
- Creates high-quality visual effects in Unreal and Houdini while respecting the cartoon aesthetic vision of the project;
- Optimizes the content of visual effects to ensure ease of production;
- Works with lighting to create an atmosphere, depth in the scene and consolidate the color palette;
- Finds creative solutions to solve technical and artistic problems.

**Your experiences and qualifications**:

- Diploma in 3D animation;
- 1 year minimum experience as a FX Artist;
- 1 year minimum experience in creating visual effects using game engines, preferably UNREAL;
- Good knowledge of content creation software (Houdini, Maya, After Effects, Nuke, etc.);
- Experience in creating AAA game cutscenes, an asset;
- Strong creative and technical background in terms of visual effects and attention to detail;
- Experience in creating materials, lighting and shaders for visual effects;
- Knowledge of blueprint programming in Unreal, an asset;
- Experience and fluency with one or more scripting or programming languages (Python, C++ and MEL), an asset.

**Votre rôle**:
En étroite collaboration avec le Directeur Artistique, l’Artiste Effets Visuels - Unreal Engine a pour mission de créer des effets visuels esthétiquement saisissants qui communiquent clairement l’action, l’impact et l’émotion souhaités:

- Collabore avec le Directeur Artistique et les artistes conceptuels pour définir le style visuel, l’atmosphère et la sensation des effets spéciaux;
- Crée des effets visuels de haute qualité dans Unreal et Houdini dans le respect de la vision esthétique du projet;
- Optimise le contenu des effets visuels pour assurer la facilité de production;
- Trouve des solutions créatives pour résoudre les problèmes techniques et artistiques;
- Travaille avec l’éclairage pour créer une ambiance, de la profondeur dans une scène et consolider la palette de couleurs.

**Vos expériences et qualifications**:

- Diplôme en animation 3D ;
- 1 an d’expérience minimum en tant qu’Artiste FX;
- 1 an d’expérience minimum en création d’effets visuels utilisant des moteurs de jeux, de préférence UNREAL;
- Bonne connaissance des progiciels de création de contenu (Houdini, Maya, After Effects, Nuke, etc.);
- Expérience en création de cinématiques de jeux AAA, un atout;
- Solide bagage créatif et technique en matière d'effets visuels et souci du détail;
- Expérience dans la création de matériaux, d'éclairage et de shaders pour les effets visuels;
- Connaissance de la programmation « blueprint » dans Unreal, un atout;
- Expérience et aisance avec un ou plusieurs langages de script ou de programmation (Python, C++ et MEL), un atout.
