**Role Overview**:
As our Chief Operations Officer (COO), you’ll oversee operations across Alberta and Ontario. Your role involves leading daily operations, managing senior staff, ensuring compliance, and driving performance improvements. You’ll also be involved in strategic planning, financial management, and talent development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operational Leadership: Craft and execute strategies aligned with our mission. Manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance, and lead key programs and events. Organize and facilitate agency wide appreciation activities.
- Strategic Planning: Work with the CEO to define and implement strategic goals. Develop policies, manage risks, and oversee accreditation. Implement operational plans, policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals.
- Performance Management: Set and monitor performance metrics. Drive improvements initiatives and oversee departmental activities. Directly oversea Human Resource Manager, Program Manager and Maintenance Manager.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the CFO on financial matters, manage contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness along with compliance of financial regulations.
- Talent Management: Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment and ensure effective staffing. Providing mentorship and performance development opportunities along with succession planning.
- Quality Control Management: Ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations and standard across all operational functions. Identifying and mitigating potential risks to successful execution of business operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; MBA preferred. At least 10 years in operations management with 5 years in senior leadership. Experience in supportive living is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in technology and data analysis. Commitment to high ethical standards.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position at our IHAC Head Office, with occasional travel.
- Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
- On-call support and additional hours may be required.
