Security at The Forks will work with our Operations team to support the well-being, safety and security of visitors, staff, and tenants at The Forks site. This person will be “on the ground” with front-line teams, to ensure all visitors experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. **Job Requirements**
- Must maintain a valid Manitoba Security Guard License, smart choices certification, and workplace OHS accredited first aid training (EFA).
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able and eager to work in a very fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and late nights.
- Capable of safely working indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions, various lighting conditions (bright/dark), exposure to dust, mechanical equipment, loud sounds and escalated individuals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conduct consistent patrols of the 52-acre site on foot or by bicycle
- Interact with all visitors in a customer service first manner
- Support a safe and welcoming place for everyone in our community
- Assist visitors with questions they may have
- Complete daily incident reports, as needed
- Successfully defuse escalated incidents, with mínimal police intervention, and safely remove any unwelcome visitors

**Salary**: $19.88 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
