**Required Qualifications**:
One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. Completion of a Secretarial Arts Program from a recognized institution required. Completion of a course in Medical Terminology required. Connect Care or other EMR experience preferred. Fluency in medical/terminology required. Word processing/typing speed 50 wpm required. Computer literacy required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel required. Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., verbal and telephone communication. Excellent organization skills. Must be able to withstand constant interruptions in workflow. Must like working with children and their families. Must have ability to handle a variety of personal contacts with tact and diplomacy.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Two (2) years recent related experience in health care setting required. OR Previous experience in a physician's office required. Previous pediatric experience an asset. Experience and/or knowledge of Alberta Health Care Billing required.
