Responsibilities: As a Prep Cook/Line Cook at NICLI Pizzeria, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and maintaining the high standards of culinary excellence we are known for. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Food Preparation: Assist in preparing a variety of ingredients and components required for our dishes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the preparation process.
Line Cooking: Work alongside our talented kitchen team during service, cooking and plating dishes to perfection while adhering to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures to uphold health and safety standards.
Collaboration: Work cooperatively with the kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure seamless coordination during busy service hours.
Quality Control: Participate in regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet our high-quality standards.
Innovation: Contribute ideas and creativity to develop new dishes or improve existing ones, staying up-to-date with industry trends and customer preferences.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and culinary techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant's schedule.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Previous experience cooking pizza in a wood oven is preferred.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
