**Position**: Payroll Coordinator
**Department**: Finance
**Reports to**: Payroll Manager
***:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the preparation of the payrolls for all hourly staff. This includes preparation of monthly entries for inclusion in the financial statements, monthly and year-end account reconciliations, and year-end T4 preparation.
**This role will focus on**:
Developing and maintaining of a system of internal controls over the payroll system
Preparing and processing all hourly payrolls including related withholdings and remittances
Preparing and remitting union related deduction and benefits; preparing and submitting Record of Employments
Calculating and recording employee taxable benefits
Preparing periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
Reconciling payroll clearing, employee receivables, bonus, and benefit accounts
Responding promptly to employee/player and other internal and external queries
Working closely with the People department to provide high quality service to all employees
Completing T4’s

**YOU MUST HAVE**:
3 to 5 years of Canadian payroll experience
2 to 4 years of accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of UKG, ABI, MS Excel and Word, and Windows
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Team player attitude with a strong customer service focus
