Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Director, Service, Planning and Change, Mental Health and Addictions, Shared Health, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the strategic direction and implementation of Mental Health & Addictions initiatives of the organization that align with the VIRGO and PEACHY reports to improve access, coordination and service delivery of services for individuals with substance use and mental health challenges. The Project Initiatives Lead will also be responsible for coordinating Prevention Education community service requests from various agencies and Service Delivery Organizations.

This position ensures the goals, objectives and deliverables of assigned implementation initiatives are met within established deadlines, act as a point person/liaison for the projects assigned and collaborate internally and externally on projects with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure the needs of stakeholders are being met.

Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, project management and organization skills are an integral part of the skill set necessary for this position. This position will liaise with staff, clients, partners, and the general public.

**Experience**:

- Three (3) years’ experience in related field.
- Experience in coordinating projects including planning, budgeting, and tracking.
- Experience developing detailed work plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Research and report writing experience.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- Project Management training / certification or equivalent experience.

- Effectively manage assigned projects through project management software and other tools.
- Interact with management and cross-functional teams to develop, implement and provide regular updates for activities and initiatives involved in the project plan.
- Prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
- Participate in project planning and drive project deliverables and accountability.
- Provide support to business leaders when requested.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with internal and partner stakeholders.
- Assess and solution operational opportunities to increase service quality and/or efficiency.
- Strong skills in verbal and written communication, for example, policy development, proposal writing, briefing note writing, reporting, drafting letters.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office.
- The incumbent functions autonomously on a day-to-day basis and manages assigned duties accordingly.
