**SUMMARY - **_Parts Manager_**

**_ Shift:_** Monday to Friday; 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM

The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Shop Operations Manager, the Parts Manager completes inventory management and administrative activities in order to support the Maintenance team. The TransX Maintenance Department has Shop facilities across Canada to support our Operations team. The Maintenance teams are the people we depend on to ensure that our equipment is kept in first-rate condition to meet our customer's requirements. This role will also support both Technicians and Service Writers and has the potential to evolve and grow into a more senior role with the department.

**KEY ACTIVITIES**

**Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Inventory Management including receiving inventory using a computer based system.
- Performing inventory cycle counts. Handling dormant inventory.
- Sourcing parts from local vendors and expediting if necessary.
- Develop effective parts processes for both internal and external customers.
- Implement ongoing Inventory and purchasing programs.
- Assisting in warranty program.
- Preparing shipments and receiving parts from other TransX shops.
- Keeping a clean organized parts room and work space.
- Basic scheduling
- Answering phones.
- Handling drivers requests.
- Opening work order and purchase orders.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**

**_ Experience_**
- Proven skills and experience in parts inventory management.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and work independently.
- High tolerance for ambiguity.
- Enjoy working under pressure in a demanding and time sensitive work environment.
- A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Excel formulas.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Passion for customer service.
