Analyst - Process Analytics & Enhancements

**Summary**:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Analyst is primarily responsible for setting up new funds, preparing & reviewing corporate actions, maintaining the security master database, and ad-hoc projects as required. As a member of SGGG-FSI’s PA&E team, you will continually develop a working knowledge of different fund structures as well as the accounting and tax rules for corporate actions.

**Accountabilities**:

- Setup new funds on Diamond as per legal offering documents. This includes setting up the NAV calculation schedule (management fees, performance fees, etc.), expense accruals, any special pricing procedures, Diamond setups, other schedules as required, ensuring requirements adhere to the SGGG Service Agreement with the Fund Manager
- For fund conversion-ins, liaise with previous administrator to gather appropriate back-up so that SGGG can accurately value the fund
- Interpret reports received for conversions and import information onto Diamond
- Prepare NAV calculations for new funds, including daily, weekly, and monthly NAVs
- Review NAV calculations prepared by other team members
- Maintain a strong client relationship and ensure queries are responded in a timely manner
- Research and prepare more complex corporate action templates in accordance with the prospectus/circular/tax filings
- Review and analyze corporate actions templates prepared by the team
- Review new securities as per backup provided by Fund Valuation
- Prepare and analyze year-end distribution calculations, distribution factors, and T3s
- Assist the team with training new and existing employees
- Stay informed of legal, regulatory, or industry changes that may impact day-to-day work
- Develop a professional and productive relationship with SGGG-FSI staff
- Work to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functions, which includes development suggestions, testing and post development feedback

**Qualifications (preferred/an asset, but not required)**:

- 1+ years of fund administration experience
- Post-secondary education
- Professional designation (an asset, but not required)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills - particularly Excel
- Clear and fluent communication skills (written, verbal) are essential to this role
- Work with mínimal supervision to prioritize and manage work
- Effective member of a team
- Thrives in a fast pace working environment with competing deadlines
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Client service skills
- Strong attention to detail
