**The Role**

We are looking for a detail-oriented paralegal preferably with real estate or infrastructure experience for **6 months** to 1 year contract**, to assist the acquisition team of our client located **downtown Toronto**. You will be preparing real estate documents and contracts, reviewing purchase offers, and liaising with landlords and property managers. To ensure success as a real estate paralegal, you should demonstrate solid knowledge of real estate proceedings and experience in a similar role. An outstanding real estate paralegal will be someone whose expertise contributes to the timely finalization of real estate transactions.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting in various tasks regarding property acquisition transactions
- Conducting and checking due diligence searches, including Land Title and Online searches
- Produce memos, documents, reports, presentations, and briefs
- Follow-up with stakeholders regarding status of projects and outstanding matters
- Connect with co-workers, service providers, municipal officials, lenders, and the real estate community if required
- Review and analyze land and real estate documents for proper completion and compliance with capital projects requirements
- Recommends improvements/remedies, and determines priority processes/actions, potential issues, and associated risks
- Drafting and/or reviewing various legal documents and contracts
- Organizing acquisition files and reviewing outstanding matters until file completion
- Liaising with all internal and external parties involved with the transaction
- Other ad hoc duties, as required

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1-3 years paralegal experience, preferably working with various real estate transactions
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in independently and in a team environment
