**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeing a Human Resources Assistant for a 12-month contract. The HR Assistant is responsible for maintaining human resources records and documents, including but not limited to new hire documentation, employee personnel files, and human resources reports.

In this role, you will assist in facilitating new hire orientation and will be the point of contact for employee inquiries and will help in the coordination of employee events throughout the year.

**The Team**:
This position works closely and in collaboration with all areas of the business. They will report directly to the Human Resource Business Partner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the organization and maintenance of employee personnel records.
- Complete and submit biweekly finance reports and monthly HR reporting.
- Prepare HR related documentation including, but not limited to employment offer letters, new hire packages, employee transaction forms and job postings.
- Facilitate HR orientation for all new hires to AGI VIS, ensuring that new hire documentation gets sent to our payroll business partners in a timely manner.
- Be a go-to for employee inquiries, utilizing internal resources to help find answers and provide follow ups.
- Assist in policy and procedural reviews, providing input and updating documentation accordingly.
- Create event posters throughout the year, for staff lunches, town hall meetings, sports ticket draws, etc.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years’ experience as in Human Resources Administration.
- Certificate in Human Resources or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with provincial employment legislations and employment standards.
- Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and results.
- Ability and willingness to learn.
