**Intent of the process**:
Although the immediate intent of this poster will be to fill several positions with various linguistic profiles and tenures. Applicants should be aware that this selection process may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and/or various tenures within the Public Health Agency of Canada in the National Capital Region.

Graduation with a degree from a post secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

**Experience**:
Both Streams:

- Experience in tracking and monitoring public health policy issues.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives and deadlines
- Experience conducting research and analysis

Additional for EC-04:

- Experience in monitoring and analyzing trends to support policy development.
- Experience drafting briefing and decision-making documents for senior management* (such as briefing notes, reports, decks, etc.)
- Senior Management is defined as Director Level and above (or private sector equivalent).

- Ability to communicate effectively orally.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Ability to analyse and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information and/or data
- Ability to draft decision-making documents for senior management*.
- Ability to work on various projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively orally

- Ability to develop recommendations for senior management*

Asset Education:
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a master’s degree in a field relevant to the work to be performed

- Experience providing recommendations on policy issues to senior management

- Experience in working with a central agency (TBS, Finance and PCO)
- Experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with stakeholders

Operational Requirements:

- Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Willingness and ability to travel on occasion.
