**About us**:
The Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) provides leadership in teaching and learning at the University of Toronto and serves as the University’s central teaching “hub”. In a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, CTSI provides support for pedagogy and pedagogy-driven instructional technology for all teaching staff and teaching assistants across the University’s campuses and divisions. Its services include organizing special events and programming for instructors and teaching assistants related to a range of teaching topics, including educational technologies; conducting personalized and confidential consultations; offering job training and a certificate program for teaching assistants; supporting inquiry into teaching through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning; providing pedagogical guidance for the use of the institutional learning management system (Quercus); and supporting the institutional online course evaluation system. Driven by the latest advancements in higher education practices and informed by emerging research in post-secondary teaching and learning, CTSI staff work directly with faculty, graduate students, departments and divisions and in partnership with a range of University offices to enhance teaching and learning across the institution.

**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, Evaluation & Assessment, the Faculty Liaison, Teaching, Learning and Evaluation provides a range of services to support the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) activities. In particular, the Faculty Liaison, Teaching, Learning and Evaluation develops, delivers and assesses CTSI programming, develops educational materials and resources, consults with faculty to provide feedback and support on a range of teaching interests and topics - including but not limited to course evaluation and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects, and supports a number of CTSI services. The Faculty Liaison works closely and collaboratively with a team of Faculty Liaisons in CTSI and other CTSI staff.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing components of instructional programs.
- Developing instructional design plans for use in teaching contexts involving educational technologies.
- Drafting and editing training content.
- Evaluating learning outcomes for program development.
- Advising others on the development and evaluation of course and training materials
- Facilitating educational workshops and seminars.
- Implementing, deploying and maintaining a range of digital assets (e.g., customized SharePoint Sites).
- Researching and recommending educational technologies and best practices related to the evaluation of teaching and learning.
- Researching and recommending best practices in the design of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), e.g. inquiry into teaching projects.
- Consulting with faculty on matters related to evaluation and SoTL.
- Keeping well-informed on faculty requirements, the University structure, academic policies and procedures, and specific learning requirements within courses and programs.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years experience developing and delivering pedagogical programming for faculty and/or graduate students, and experience providing consultations to faculty/graduate students on teaching and learning-related topics.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience with mixed methods research, with a focus on quantitative approaches.
- Experience using data analysis software (e.g. NVivo, R, SAS, SPSS).
- Proficiency in the advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
- Proficiency in the use of learning management systems and other equivalent educational technologies or equivalent.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, communication (oral and written) skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with various educational technologies and pedagogical approaches. University-level group facilitation experience is required.

**Assets (Nonessential)**:

- Post-secondary teaching experience is a strong asset.
- An understanding of the practice and literature related to course evaluation in the higher education sector is a strong asset.
- An understanding of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the University of Toronto and knowledge of UofT policies and procedures that impact teaching and learning support.
- Experience performing data analyses and working with inferential statistics.
