**About us**:
The Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) provides leadership in teaching and learning at the University of Toronto and serves as the University’s central teaching hub. In a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, CTSI provides support for pedagogy and pedagogy-driven instructional technology for all teaching staff and teaching assistants across the University’s campuses and divisions. Its services include organizing special events and programming for instructors and Teaching Assistants related to a range of teaching topics, including educational technologies; conducting personalized and confidential consultations; offering job training and a certificate program for teaching assistants; supporting inquiry into teaching through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning; providing pedagogical guidance for the use of the institutional learning management system (Quercus); and supporting the institutional online course evaluation system.Driven by the latest advancements in higher education practices and informed by emerging research in post-secondary teaching and learning, CTSI staff work directly with faculty, graduate students, departments and divisions and in partnership with a rangeof University offices to enhance teaching and learning across the institution.

**Your opportunity**:
As the Faculty Liaison, Anti-Racist Pedagogies, you will work under the supervision of the Faculty Liaison Coordinator, Anti-Racist Pedagogies and as part of a team of educational developers in CTSI and in collaboration with equity-focused educational developers in other U of T teaching centres to provide pedagogical support to instructors seeking to integrate effective educational approaches into their teaching and learning. You will provide guidance with and assist in aligning pedagogical practices that promote diverse perspectives, content, learning activities and assessments that include knowledge from racialized communities and diverse cultural ways of knowing. Under the daily supervision of the Faculty Liaison Coordinator, Anti-Racist Pedagogies and reporting to the Associate Director, CTSI, you will work closely with other team leads in CTSI to provide support and consultation to instructors on strategies for developing and delivering curriculum through an equity lens, and you will advise on the development and evaluation of accessible and inclusive course materials. You will contribute to the development of instructional resources, training materials and programming, both online and in-person, and to the development and delivery of a range of programming and services in CTSI. Through this work and through guidance provided to instructors and Teaching Assistants, you will help enrich curriculum and improve instruction by increasing awareness of anti-racist and anti-oppressive teaching and learning practices to enhance pedagogy and inquiry into teaching.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing components of instructional programs
- Advising instructors on strategies for developing and delivering curriculum that enhances knowledge of diverse cultural awareness, anti-racist and anti-oppressive perspectives and methodologies, as well as racialized cultural and pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning
- Analyzing needs and recommending approaches that would help enhance teaching and learning goals
- Advising others on the development and evaluation of course and training materials
- Fostering and maintaining networks to build capacity and collaboration
- Evaluating learning outcomes for program development
- Developing content for instructional workshops
- Facilitating educational workshops and seminars

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience in instructional or curriculum design and/or developing resources to promote cultural awareness and anti-racist pedagogies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working within Black, Indigenous and/or racialized communities.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing components of instructional programs, including e-learning, preferably in a post-secondary academic setting.
- Knowledgeable of equity, inclusion and social justice within an educational context.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anti-racism and anti-oppression theories and practices (e.g. critical pedagogy) as they relate to educational development and teaching support
