We are looking for a **Project Coordinator** in our Design Oversight (Characterization) department. Engineering Design Review

Responsible for Design Packages (Engineering Drawings, Details, and Specifications) technical content and working collaboratively with the Design Contractor under the direction of the Design Lead to:

- Ensuring designs address current regulatory and municipal requirements
- Ensuring designs abide by applicable codes and standards
- Improving design package content to facilitate annual remediation targets
- Monitoring design deliverables for completion and progress, technical accuracy and quality, and adherence to CNL and PHAI requirements.
- Engaging quality support staff and drives actions to ensure that design packages meet quality standards.
- Engaging applicable Subject Mater Experts (SMEs) when needed to provide input into designs to ensure compliance with Environmental, Geotechnical, Species at Risk, Heritage, Waste Management, and Radiation Protection requirements and standards.
- Ensuring pre-design inputs are collected in order to meet requirements of the CNL Design Process, including legal and topographic survey, utility locates, structural assessment, Species at Risk assessment, and heritage assessments as needed.

Stakeholder Consultation
- Ensuring that design packages are developed meeting stakeholder expectations and maintaining good relations with the Municipality and residents using matrix resources affectively.
- Assisting Project Lead, when seeking design input to preparing design summaries, proposals, and briefing notes.
- Attending design review meetings with site owners and other stakeholders as needed and meticulously records discussions and inputs for future reference.

Engineering Design Field Oversight & Remediation Support
- Ensuring design is implemented as intended and the project is conducted while meeting CNL and project requirements.
- Documenting lessons learned during remediation phase and assists Project Lead, Design Oversight in developing follow-up actions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Supporting Remediation by coordinating with Contractor staff to ensure CNL Engineering Change Control and field Change Process is upheld and signed by Engineer of Record.
- Working with Design Contractor, to research and prepare technical advice in response to engineering problems observed during remediation.

Contractor Management
- With the assistance of a Contract Administrator and under the direction of the Project Lead, assisting with managing the performance of the Design Contractor within the bounds of the contract. This may involve updating the Technical Scope of Work or other procedures, and helping to ensure that adequate oversight is in-place to monitor contractor performance.
- Working with Project Lead and Contract Administrator in preparing and responding to Request for Information (RFIs) both to and from the Design Contractor to clarify scope requirements, resolve technical issues, and relay new information.
- Reviewing contractor invoices and change orders, reconciles scope of work completed versus contractor accrued or invoiced amounts and makes recommendations for invoice and change order approvals.
- Pre-emptively identifying project issues and communicating these issues to line management and working with the Manager and Project Lead, DO to implement actions to effectively manage these issues.
- Working with Project Lead and Design Contractor in selecting properties to be remediated in the following year, ensuring annual remediation targets can be achieved.

Project Controls
- Establishing project controls and pre-emptively identifying issues that could impact project objectives, effectively communicates these issues to management and develops and implements corrective action plans to eradicate or mitigate the adverse impact.

- Supporting design phase schedule by tracking and monitoring schedule adherence and pre-emptively identifies schedule risk and issues to ensure the delivery of design packages to meet the project schedule.
