Just in Time Treatment Program Coordinator

**KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provides coordination in all aspects of the program - guiding staff in the execution of their duties including Induction and Aftercare services.
- Ensures that the medication is given in a safe manner, ingestion of the medication is directly observed and is in accordance with the prescription provided for the client
- Help each client to develop a recovery plan with goals.
- Facilitate and schedule program activities of the nurse, visits from elders, community worker presentations, etc.
- Keep appropriate daily records, attendance, and other documentation as required.
- Promote, monitor, and maintain health, safety, and security of the environment.
- Manage requests for client travel prescriptions and dosage adjustments by communicating with the Mental Health Registered Nurse.
- Follow the community infection control protocols and wearing appropriate medical safeguards such as gloves and masks to maintain infection control precautions
- Respond decisively and quickly to emerging opportunities or risks by observing, monitoring and processing information as well as changing health status of clients
- Work closely with other healthcare workers in the community.
- Inspire a commitment to excellence in care, communication and relationships with the Suboxone program staff, community leadership and Keewaytinook Okimakanak.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Program management experience.
- Education in addictions or social work an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience in mental health and addictions and willingness to learn.
- Must be trustworthy and dependable.
- Must be willing to submit to drug testing as a condition of employment if required.
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to be trained in this.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity with clients and community services.
- Able to work flexible hours/days.
- Ability to work cooperatively and to respond quickly to changing needs and circumstances.

- Working conditions require dealing with: lack of control over the pace of work, meeting inflexible deadlines, managing critical time frames during emergencies, responding to concurrent demands and pressures from clients, families, community members, and leadership,
- The work also requires dealing with critical situations which may involve life and death. These situations may evoke strong emotional reactions that have the potential to affect one's coping abilities.
- Possesses highly developed interviewing and listening skills, problem solving skills, problem identification skills in areas of health/wellness, disease prevention and management to ensure proper management of clients.
- Able to fly in small planes
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
