We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Relief Full Time Orthopedic Surgical Coordinator** to join our team. This position is available until approximately February 2026 or Return of Incumbent.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the clinical and administrative workflow of a busy Surgical Orthopedic practice. Your duties will entail scheduling surgical procedures for patients; anticipating the needs of patients as they arise. Additionally, you will schedule and coordinate patient appointments and serve as the point of contact for the practice.

The Surgical Coordinator will be expected to function with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and will ensure that all surgical scheduling and communication between patient and practice are taken care of in a timely manner.

**Surgical Coordinator Responsibilities**:
The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for completing any surgical related tasks that might be needed leading up to surgery and after. Their tasks will consist of:

- Answering calls directed to the line for the Surgeon
- Calling patients for pre-operative screening/questions, protocols, and appointment reminders
- Scheduling all surgical related appointments, including pre-operative, surgery, and post-operative
- Sending any needed paperwork for surgery via patient gateway
- Answering any non-clinical questions that patients may have regarding their surgery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record system (Accuro and Connect Care)
- Maintain incoming faxes and process as needed
- Confirming patient details and demographics
- Confirming active healthcare coverage

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a medical office or providing medical administrative support is required
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling software such as Accuro or Connect Care is preferred
- Previous experience working with surgeons in an administrative capacity considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8-12 months

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
