**Job Summary**
The Business Data Lead, CN Elevate is responsible for identifying, analyzing, improving, cleansing, and validating business data needs required to implement the new Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) S/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Furthermore, the role is accountable for the update of all existing Business Warehouse (BW) reports to the new S/4HANA model. The incumbent works with a variety of internal stakeholders ensuring successful project delivery and provides accurate master data and quality reports for Finance.
**Main Responsibilities**
**Development and Delivery**
- Lead the development of solutions for handling master data, data cleansing and reporting activities
- Update existing BW reports to reflect the new S/4HANA design and data model
- Provide input on Data migration and mapping rules from SAP ECC and other legacy systems to the new system and confirm data synchronization
- Verify data integrity and quality after mapping and transformation are applied
- Review published data to confirm that the system is aligned to the expectations, and document reasons for differences
- Participate in the detailed design of the Master Data Governance (MDG) tool
- Validate that audit review strategies are respected for reports
- Assess impact of process change options resulting from new proposed solutions based on complex evaluation of multiple business and technical criteria
- Lead user acceptance testing activities related to the Data scope
- Handle defect identification, prioritize defect backlog, propose corrective solutions, and ensure timely migration to production environments
- Ensure that the progression, timeline, and project updates are regularly and timely communicated with the functional team and the business process owners
- Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and recommend solutions
- Organize recurring checkpoints and conduct workshops throughout the project in order to progress on cleansing activities, obtain sign-off and adoption of the new data model
**Lead Process Optimization**
- Execute process optimization and put in place best-in-class master data governance
- Coordinate with business users, Information and Technology (I&T) and the Solution Integrator (SI) to acquire business and technology intelligence requirements to ensure that SAP S/4HANA improves master data quality, integrity and overall controls
- Identify, assess, and select proposed technology solutions to address current business challenges and drive value
- Protect critical processes and ensure compliance with accounting and legal policies as well as CN procedures for SAP transaction processing
**Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)**
- Work with the project team to ensure appropriate controls are in place for data conversion
- Review and update new security and controls framework
- Collaborate to identify significant financial reporting risks arising from the SAP S/4HANA ERP implementation and recommend new transition controls or update to existing controls
- Collaborate to define and assign security roles in S/4HANA and ensure compliance with segregation of duties rules
- Identify data-related process change impacts to end users
- Support and assist Change Management (CM) activities such as reviewing training materials and delivering end-user trainings
**People Management**
- Support Business Analyst, CN Elevate in accomplishing their deliverables
- Handle employee performance by identifying underperforming employees and by supporting them through performance improvement processes
- Collaborate, coach, and build connections with employees, I&T and the SI
- Maintain cross-training for key skill sets in the team, including knowledge transfer
**Working Conditions**
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday and is eligible to participate in CN’s flexible work from home policy. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.
**Requirements**:
**Experience**
Finance
- Between 5 to 7 years of experience within an accounting firm or relevant industry experience
- Experience supervising staff
- Experience with master data management
**Education/Certification/Designation**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, equival
