Job Summary

The Coordinator, Indigenous Relations is responsible for overseeing sponsorships, donations, and event participation. The role sources opportunities and coordinates participation or attendance to ensure sponsored events are leveraged. Furthermore, the incumbent tracks the donation and sponsorship budget. Furthermore, the position is accountable for the ongoing gathering of information (documents, reports, etc.) to document the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) journey to facilitate annual and recertification reporting as well as drafting the submission. The position works in collaboration with the CN Hub to ensure the Indigenous Relations web page is maintained and the information shared with key stakeholders is accurate. The Indigenous Relations team has a database and the incumbent ensures documents are properly uploaded and the data base is well maintained.

Main Responsibilities
- Understand, implement, and live CN's Indigenous vision and strategy
- Search for key events aligned with the Indigenous vision to ensure their coordination, attendance and logistic (e.g., promotional items, booth material)
- Review requests and provide recommendations on strategic sponsorships
- Ensure approved sponsorships are leveraged and CN is appropriately recognized
- Track the sponsorship and donation budget and distribution of cheques
- Liaise with Regional Managers, Indigenous Relations to establish strategic locations and partnerships
- Work with the Hub to ensure the Indigenous Relations web page and Intranet site, including the Events Calendar are up to date
- Gather event pictures and information to be posted and ensure with the HUB they are kept up to date
- Ensure adequate visibility of and communication about CN's sponsorships, news, and events
- Handle the Indigenous Relations database on SharePoint to ensure documents are properly uploaded on an ongoing basis and the data base is up to date
- Act as a trusted advisor to CN's Indigenous Relations team
- Participate and be proactive in the realization of the Indigenous Relations team's objectives
- Organize the logistics of team meetings (e.g., invitations, agenda, reservation)

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress. The role requires mínimal travel (up to 10%) within Canada.

**Requirements**:
Experience

Indigenous Relations
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience

Education/Certification/Designation
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent College Diploma

- Knowledge of railway terminology
