Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to formalize their commitment to work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall health care experience through a strong, coordinated system of care. An integrated Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH. Over 600 caring staff, physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long-term care to citizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.

We are currently seeking a **Staff Scheduling Coordinator - Full-time** to join our team.

Reporting directly to the Integrated Vice President of Patient & Resident Services and Chief Nursing Executive the Staff Scheduling Coordinator will ensure appropriate staffing levels are coordinated for Clinical Departments within the Hospital. Working collaboratively with the Managers and in compliance with the Union Contracts, the Coordinator will be responsible for producing scheduling rotations, replacing sick calls, covering requests for time off and accurately tracking/recording employee shift switches.

**Competencies and Personal Attributes**:

- Requires a solid knowledge base of Union contracts; previous knowledge of CUPE and ONA Collective Agreements in a Hospital setting would be preferred
- Interprets Collective Agreements and acts as a consultant on staff scheduling issues
- Maintains daily staffing records for the clinical departments and prepares time data sheets for payroll processing
- Arranges and schedules appropriate nurse escorts for patients travelling off-site for tests or appointments (if required)
- Maintains accurate names, departments, phone numbers and staff availability for all clinical units
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) working in Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

**Qualifications**:

- A college diploma in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience in scheduling/administration.
- Minimum of 2 years previous scheduling experience in unionized environment would be preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with demonstrated working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems.
- Previous Hospital experience would be preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including competent public speaking.
- Excellent time management with proven abilities in planning, priority setting and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound judgements and informative decisions.

**Salary**: $26.92-$29.44 per hour
