The Georgian Court Hotel is a mid-size, four-star downtown Vancouver hotel looking for a guest service-driven and results-oriented Front Desk Supervisor to support the ongoing excellence of the front office team and to ensure the reputation of being one of the finest boutique hotels in Vancouver is maintained. This special individual will also support the leadership and development of the department.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Guest Experience**
- Support the implementation of procedures to ensure guests receive prompt, professional attention and personal recognition.
- To maintain a service culture that responds promptly and appropriately to guest inquiries, requests and issues.
- Support the implementation of appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Proactively anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring complaints.

**Team Leader and Team Player**
- Support the front office team by modeling the way. Execute direction of the Front Office Manager and Manager on Duty by creating an environment where people are motivated to join, learn and do their best.
- Support the coaching, feedback and training of department.
- Be a team player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff.
- Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction.
- Support the department to ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events.

**Financial**
- Assist in the Reconcilation of monthly invoices and process commissions to accounting.
- Assist in managing hotel revenue generation and maximization.

**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience as Senior Front Agent or Front Office Supervisor at a similar size and type of hotel an asset.
- Must be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and hospitality
- Must possess superior written and verbal communication skills - effectively communicate before guests and associates.
- Must operate with a sense of urgency and discipline.
- Possess an aptitude for mathematics, superior reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
- Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and have excellent time management skills
- Must be a team player.
- Must be a leader and motivator of staff and be able to delegate but also discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Opera and other PMS systems
- Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism in all aspect of job performance.
- Must be able to preserve confidentiality of information.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
