**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Indigenous Policy and Administration (IPA) Community Coordinator and Administrator reports directly to the School Administrator and receives direction from the IPA Supervisor and the School Director. The incumbent is responsible for the community engagement, recruitment, administration, student support, and coordinating the Summer Institute for the Graduate Diplomas in IPA and the IPA concentration within the Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA).

Community liaison and outreach involves both developing new and maintaining existing connections with leaders and senior staff of Indigenous communities, governing bodies, organizations and enterprises, as well as of the government departments, businesses, foundations and other entities that collaborate with them. Both with the IPA Supervisor and independently, the incumbent will meet and communicate with such individuals and entities in order to promote and support the IPA programs. The incumbent will organize alumni communications and solicit program feedback and advice. The incumbent is responsibile for organizing communications with, and meetings of, the IPA Advisory Circle and the IPA Elders Circle; and the incumbent’s responsibility for developing and maintaining the IPA community partners’ database. The incumbent is also responsible for developing, revising, and implementing recruitment strategies and programming for the graduate programs in IPA.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Ability to relay program information accurately, efficiently and timely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to establish priorities and develop work plans, taking into consideration the changing priorities in the School.
- Knowledge and understanding of the diversity of Indigenous cultures and organizations in Canada, as well as the ability to provide effective liaison with leaders of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities and organizations.

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- University degree.
- Five years of work experience in a post-secondary setting with increasing responsibility.
- Lived or work experience with Indigenous organizations and/or communities.
