Reporting to the Director, Institutional Research and Strategic Insights, the incumbent is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing analytic supports to inform the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), organizational committees and working groups, as well as college leaders. The Manager, IR provides leadership and oversees the work of a dedicated team of research analysts providing insight and assisting with project prioritization as required. The incumbent is a working manager with advanced research and analytical skills in order to support the departmental research agenda and contribute to the completion of strategic projects and initiatives.
- Provides leadership for the systematic collection, analysis, statistical reporting and maintenance of institutional information and data used to support and enhance planning, decision making, program assessment, risk management, and policy formulation.
- Directly leads and/or oversees the development and implementation of IR projects which are designed to provide senior leaders with timely and relevant data/information, analysis of issues, and recommendations, such as, but not limited to:

- Key Performance Indicators
- Course Feedback Survey
- Incoming Student Survey
- Economic Impact Assessment
- PCPP Community Consultancy Survey, etc.
- Uses research expertise to design and execute comprehensive research plans that include appropriate methodologies for gathering and analyzing primary and secondary data.
- Synthesizes complicated data and research to relay and present the information in an understandable way to Deans/Directors, SLT, and the Board.
- Supports the annual program assessment/quality review, contributes to the cyclical program renewal process, and informs the new program development process.
- Provides research and analytical support to PCPP campus(es) overseeing the biennial PCPP Community Consultation Survey.
- Liaises with internal departments, external consultants, and/or the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) to support the implementation and collection of KPI data.
- Ensures timelines and compliance requirements are met with mandatory data reporting and data exchanges with peers, consultants, MCU and/or the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) to submit college-specific questions, student and program file layouts, student/graduate contact information, etc. for surveys, including:

- KPI Graduate and Employer Satisfaction Surveys
- KPI Graduate Outcomes Survey
- KPI Graduation Rate
- OSAP Default Rate
- Ontario College Student Experience Survey
- Oversees the analysis and dissemination of KPI results including the preparation of materials for the Board of Governors, Senior Leadership Team and/or college constituents along with public reporting on Georgian’s external web site.
- Participates in external working groups and committees relating to the improvement of the KPI survey instruments, increasing response rates, and the reporting of results.
- Works with Georgian’s Alumni and Advancement Team to promote the KPI Graduate Surveys, validate grad contact info, and/or support inquiries and requests for assistance from alumni.
- Develops department’s strategic and operational plans and aligns resources to deliver on IR programs/projects.
- Prioritizes the projects and coordinates the workload of the IR staff; monitors project deliverables and meets deadlines
- Provides leadership in creating and sustaining an organizational culture that enhances learning, collaboration, and further development.
- Optimizes staff performance and builds professional capacity through effective recruiting, selection, development, mentoring/coaching, workflow/goal setting and ongoing performance management and evaluation.
- Ensures compliance with relevant legislation, Collective Agreements, Terms & Conditions of Employment, policies and procedures in areas of health & safety, human rights, accessibility, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
- Completes the departmental budget activities to support budget development, fall budget review and year-end budget reporting.
- Liaises with Marketing and Communications to provide background information and analysis for media requests and longer-term strategic communications.
- Participates on external IR, MCU and/or other provincial working groups and committees.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successfully completed a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline such as statistics, social sciences, business or educational research.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ Experience and expertise in institutional research, descriptive and/or inferential statistical data analysis and/or survey design.
