**Job Title**:ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK**

**Classification**:Standard** **Grid Level 10 (pending JJEP review)**
**Rate of Pay: $23.90 per hour and increments as per the Collective Agreement**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible to process receipts, such as donations, rents, contractual payments
and reconcile accounts. This position liaises with managers to ensure account receivables accounts are in good
order; maintains a variety of files and assists with a variety of clerical duties.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Grade 12 and successful completion of a recognized community college accounting certificate and two years of
recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures.
- Strong data entry/numerical skills along with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Hands-on and strong experience in creating/operating Excel spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Proficiency is Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional customer service, communication and negotiation skills required; proficiency in English

language skills required.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, initiate clerical procedures, and exercise sound

judgment when making decisions in line with applicable rules and policies.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, complete assigned tasks efficiently and

effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

**HOURS OF WORK**:
**37.5 hours per week; Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (to be confirmed)**
