**What We Will Ask of You**: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Program Manager, our Quality Assurance Advisor (QAA) plays an important role. The QAA supports the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and agency children and adult service departments maintaining agency standards outlined by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and sector specific standards. The QAA holds a high degree of responsibility for submitting Serious Occurrence Reports (SORs) within the legal context for risk management, service compliance, safe working environment, operations oversight and business continuity. The QAA’s role is to enhance organizational sustainability and ensures staff are supported to do their best work.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Support with implementation of Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) including additional risk mitigation strategies, policy changes, internal form updates and training initiatives as needed.
- Ensure all Canopy and Outside Paid Resources (OPRs) QAM activities operate within relevant legislation and best practice integration within agency adult services to achieve legislative compliance, maintain the ability to provide service delivery and achieve agency goals.
- Act as a resource and support to staff and Program Managers regarding QAM inquiries.
- Conduct Canopy QAM agency audits for adult programs to ensure continued compliance.
- Act, along with QA Manager, as agency MCCSS Compliance Inspection Officer.
- Act, along with the QA Manager, as one of the agency’s Serious Occurrence Reporters (SO) for Residential Licensing Local Registration Authority (SOR-RL LRA) for MCCSS.

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in Social Services or a related field or equivalent experience and knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Serious Occurrence reporting guidelines.
- Privacy Officer training or certificate in Information Privacy is considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with mediators, community partners and other stakeholders.
- Compassionate and responsible supporter of people, their families, and community partners.
- Commitment to maximize resources and improve people’s quality of life.
- A valid driver’s license and insurance, access to a reliable vehicle and ability to drive in various weather conditions.
