**Who we are**

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the centre of the province’s power system, ensuring Ontarians have access to reliable and cost-effective electricity when and where they need it. We operate the province’s electricity grid 24/7, design, run and oversee the wholesale electricity markets, and plan and prepare to meet Ontario’s electricity needs - now and into the future.

**The opportunity**

The Program Analyst will provide analytical support, investment recommendations and relationship management for the Energy Support Programs. The Program Analyst will have prime responsibility for working with proponents to guide them in the development of proposals, as well as the review and assessment of projects resulting in recommendations to management on the investment of the Fund’s $10M annual budget.

**What you’ll do**

The IESO delivers several support funding programs to the marketplace for Indigenous communities, co-ops, municipalities and public sector entities. The Program Analyst will be responsible for the following
- Effectively manage funding agreement obligations through analysis of deliverables against funding obligations and requirements
- Effectively manage funding agreement issues by working with funding recipients, IESO staff, third-party service providers, external agencies/organizations (e.g. project partners, consultants and Ministry agencies)
- Track and monitor deliverables and payments, maintaining an appropriate level of contact with current funding contract holders, monitoring deadlines and deliverables and providing trouble-shooting and problem-solving assistance as required
- Interface with funding recipients relating to any changes or amendments that may be proposed and finalized for funding agreements
- Manage and ensure all IESO Energy Support Program Funding Agreement obligations are fulfilled in accordance with approved processes
- Provide guidance, advice and support to ensure that support funding processes are effective, efficient, expeditious, and ethical and provides the best possible value to the IESO, and Ontario’s ratepayers
- Track, analyze and produce reports on program data with a high level of accuracy, routinely and on an ad-hoc basis
- Design program materials to enable the successful administration of the Energy Support Programs
- Support Supervisor, Indigenous Relations in maintaining strong relationships with key communities, stakeholders, organizations and groups from the following segments:

- Industry stakeholders and associations
- Community organizations and co-operatives
- First Nations/Métis communities
- Municipalities and other public sector entities
- Seeking opportunities to provide value added solutions for support programs
- Support complex projects within Corporate Relations, Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation, including from time-to-time those outside of the Funds
- Perform other duties as required.

**What you need to succeed**

Must have
- Experience working with one or more of the following groups considered an asset: community groups, First Nations and Métis communities, co-operatives, municipalities and public sector entities
- Demonstrates strong understanding of business principles and processes as they relate to procurement and contract management
- Demonstrated competency in monitoring and tracking projects and project performance
- Proven project management skills
- Experience in developing performance metrics, undertaking associated analysis and reporting to management preferred
- Strong customer service orientation and experience

Nice to have
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, CRM systems and databases
- Ability to multi-task, work in a high volume, evolving work environment with flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and work environment
- Knowledge of energy legislation and policy direction
