**What you will be doing**:
The Total Rewards Apprentice plays a key role in supporting payroll operations at Rockwool by ensuring the accurate collection, verification, and processing of payroll data. This role includes maintaining payroll records, calculating employee pay and benefits, and generating reports for various departments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyze and validate timesheets, working with supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate employee data in payroll systems and personnel files.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement).
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring system updates are timely.
- Assist in communicating benefits information during onboarding and annual enrollment periods.
- Provide support to employees regarding benefits options, eligibility, and coverage details.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of T4 and T4A slips.
- Issue and file Records of Employment (ROE).
- Prepare labor hours and cost reports for various departments.
- Respond to inquiries through the HR helpline.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
**What you bring**:
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience with union collective bargaining agreements is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Dayforce HCM and SAP Accounting software is an asset.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll and benefits regulations is an advantage.
